Weekend Movie Picks

It is going to be a gorgeous weekend, but just in case you are looking for a movie to watch at night after you are exhausted from playing in the sunshine, here are some suggestions.  I have planned to write more about some of these, but that would require time and energy I don’t seem to have at the moment.

For Adults:

Juno

Elizabethtown (probably one of my all-time favorites)

3:10 to Yuma

For families with kids:

Mr. Magorium’s Magic Emporium (my favorite in this list)

Enchanted

Alvin and the Chipmunks

Bee Movie

** If your kids get easily frightened, skip “Water Horse” – it is a lot scarier than it looks from the previews and the DVD case!

Why is it that I have seen all these movies???  We only get a few channels (and none clearly) with rabbit ears and I love movies.

I have been married to my husband, Ed since 1998. We have two daughters, Hailey (9) and Leah (6). I have been the Director of Easter Seals UCP Stepping Stones Children's Center in Sanford since 2004. I am an Independent Senior Director for Thirty-One and I absolutely LOVE it! I was raised as a Wolfpacker but saw the light and now I bleed Carolina blue (sorry, dad).

I think I’m going to rent Juno sometime this week. I’ve heard enough people recommend it. 🙂 I think it will be one I watch alone though, Mr. C is very picky about his movies! 🙂 🙂 🙂

i assumed Juno was directed by the same guy that directed Knocked Up because it’s about an unexpected pregnancy, and Michael Cera stars as Juno’s boyfriend (he was one of the goofy kids from Superbad, a close relative of Knocked Up), but it turns out this is not the case
