What a day!

This has been a loooong day.  I got up way too early and left for Charlotte before 7.  I took 24/27 all the way into Charlotte and it was a beautiful drive.  The houses in Carthage and Troy are just incredible.  They are huge and beautiful and exude charm.  I drove through Locust and Red Cross.  Who names these places?  Can you imagine writing Locust, NC as your address?

I have been wanting to try Chick-Fil-A Chick-n-minis ever since they came out.  I was hoping all the way to Charlotte that I would see a Chick-fil-a so that I could get breakfast.  You would have thought I won the lottery when I found one right as I got into Charlotte.  They were even better than I thought they would be!  Why, oh why, can’t we get a free-standing Chick-Fil-A???

I had a directors meeting at our Charlotte office until a little after 3.  I don’t do well with meetings.  I hate to sit still and I always get a headache.  It didn’t help that I had to get back in the car and drive another 2 1/2 hours.

I came home and saw my girls for the first time today, checked my email, and walked across the street for my book group.  I had a great time as always.  It was just what I needed to end the day – good company, good wine, good food and lots of  laughs!

I tried to watch American Idol but like my blog title, all I heard was blah, blah, blah.

Hopefully I will have something more interesting to talk about tomorrow!

Random note: WordPress spellchecker tells me that “blog” is not a word…
